Our Group

The Intown Atlanta church of Christ is a group of believers dedicated to serving Christ and each other. God’s word is what guides us to lead lives that please Him by following in the footsteps of His Son, Jesus Christ, making sacrifices for each other and showing the Father’s love to all.

Our Beliefs

The Bible is all we need in order to know how to live like Christ, so we follow only God’s Word and have no man-made creeds of our own (2 Tim. 3:16-17). We also believe that God created and accomplished His plan (Eph. 1:1-14) to redeem all who would repent of their sins (Acts 2:38), confess who God is (Rom. 10:9-10), and believe in His Son Jesus by being baptized (Acts 2:41) and choosing to leave their old life of sinfulness behind them (Eph. 4:20-24). We believe that a church is made up of a body of believers that supports each other, provides encouragement and correction, bears each other’s burdens and pushes each other to grow individually for the benefit of the whole.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to do everything to the glory of God (Eph. 1:11-12), build up and encourage each other (Heb. 10:23-25) and to bring the light of the Gospel into our community (Matt. 5:14-16). God’s church upholds His truth and promotes His message of salvation to any and all. Sin separates us from God, and, although we all have sinned, we believe that through Jesus, there is forgiveness and repentance available to all who seek it.
